Based on B-spline wavelet on the interval (BSWI), two classes of truncated conicalshell elements were constructed to solve axisymmetric problems, i.e. BSWI thin truncated conicalshell element and BSWI moderately thick truncated conical shell element with independent slope-deformation interpolation. In the construction of wavelet-based element, instead of traditionalpolynomial interpolation, the scaling functions of BSWI were employed to form the shape functionsthrough the constructed elemental transformation matrix,and then construct BSWI element viathe variational principle. Unlike the process of direct wavelets adding in the wavelet Galerkinmethod, the elemental displacement field represented by the coefficients of wavelets expansionwas transformed into edges and internal modes via the constructed transformation matrix. BSWIelement combines the accuracy of B-spline function approximation and various wavelet-basedelements for structural analysis. Some static and dynamic numerical examples of conical shellswere studied to demonstrate the present element with higher efficiency and precision than thetraditional element. 相似文献

We consider time-periodic oscillations of a beam with a spatially inhomogeneous Prandtl–Ishlinskii constitutive law describing the elastoplastic hysteresis. The data (mass density, Prandtl–Ishlinskii distribution, external load) are assumed to be uncertain. It is shown that a unique solution exists and is stable with respect to the data variation. Considering the total dissipated energy as a measure for the accumulated material fatigue, we identify and estimate from above the ‘worst scenario’ case, where the dissipation over one period is maximal within an admissible set of data obtained from inaccurate measurements. 相似文献

Two non-probabilistic, set-theoretical methods for determining the maximum and minimum impulsive responses of structures to uncertain-but-bounded impulses are presented. They are, respectively, based on the theories of interval mathematics and convex models. The uncertain-but-bounded impulses are assumed to be a convex set, hyper-rectangle or ellipsoid. For the two non-probabilistic methods, less prior information is required about the uncertain nature of impulses than the probabilistic model. Comparisons between the interval analysis method and the convex model, which are developed as an anti-optimization problem of finding the least favorable impulsive response and the most favorable impulsive response, are made through mathematical analyses and numerical calculations. The results of this study indicate that under the condition of the interval vector being determined from an ellipsoid containing the uncertain impulses, the width of the impulsive responses predicted by the interval analysis

Large thermal deflections of Timoshenko beams under transversely non-uniform temperature rise 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
Geometrically non-linear deformation of axially extensional Timoshenko beams subjected mechanical as well thermal loadings were characterized by a system of 7 coupled and highly non-linear ordinary differential equations, which results in a complicated two-point boundary-value problem. By using shooting method this kind of problem can be numerically solved efficiently. Based on the above-mentioned mathematical formulation and numerical procedure, analysis of large thermal deflections for Timoshenko beams, subjected transversely non-uniform temperature rise and with immovably pinned–pinned as well as fixed–fixed ends, is presented. Characteristic curves showing the relationships between the beam deformation and temperature rise are illustrated. Especially, the effects of shear deformation on the bending and buckling response are quantitatively investigated. The numerical results show, as we know, that shear deformation effects become significant with the decrease of the slenderness and with the increase of the shear flexibility. 相似文献
